Coaching is an interactive experience where we discover your goals and your passions and use them to help you travel down a path to the life you want. It is a partnership wherein coachees set the goal of the session and the coach uses their skills to assist the coachees in gaining new insights which can help them move forward. The coachee is provided a safe space that is non-judgemental, objective, trusting and honest which allows them to focus on possibilities. In this process, the coaches use powerful techniques to help them clarify and stay focused on their priorities. At the end of a session clients identify possible solutions and action steps to achieve their stated goal.
Every session is held in strictest confidence and follows the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics.
The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process.
Both professions work with clients to enable clients to make positive changes in their lives. However, life coaching and therapy differ in their approach to working with clients. Therapy can involve assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Traditionally therapists focus on the past, healing, and on introspection and analysis with the hope of resolving past issues to create a happier future. Therapy also helps to deal with mental health challenges, substance abuse issues and trauma.
Life coaching looks at where you are now and focuses on action steps to get to where you want to be. It is a client driven process wherein the coachee owns the progress. Coach serves as a guide. It is goal and future focused. Their past is used as a tool to propel the client forward.
Life coaches can assist you in getting unstuck, discovering your passions, accelerate the next steps in your life, overcome limiting beliefs, stop unhelpful habits and many more. Whatever your goal may be, coaches can help you strategize a path to achieve them and build a positive mindset that will empower them to achieve their goals. Life coaching can sometimes feel therapeutic but it is important to remember it is not therapy. Life coaches work with those individuals that are basically healthy and functional and seek help in achieving their higher potential.
Life coaching can be a great complement to therapy.

I refer to it as an investment as I truly believe taking care of your wellness is an investment in yourself. Think of all areas of your life you invest in. I invite you to consider this, what is the cost of NOT changing?
I recommend meeting twice per month to start. This allows you the space to work on creating the change you desire in your life. As much as we know there are changes that are needed it can be uncomfortable and our natural tendency is to resist this feeling at times. Change needs to be supported so we can keep the progress going. Regular coaching can provide the opportunity to increase the momentum and level of awareness necessary to make the desired change in your life. They may need some extra support to get there and help keep them accountable so they can grow and excel personally and/or professionally.
Coaching sessions are held online via Zoom.
I understand that life can get crazy and sometimes the unexpected can happen. Please allow for at least 24 hours to cancel or rebook a session.

Yes, life can get hectic and messy at times. It might even feel like you don’t have any more extra time. Have you ever heard of the saying you can’t pour from an empty cup?
The Canadian Mental Health Association defines wellness as the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you’re thriving.
Prioritizing self-care can positively impact one’s wellness. Self-care can be different for everyone but I am referring to self-care as taking care of your whole self and areas of your well-being: personal, relationships, spirituality, health and work & finance. Everything is connected and when one area is in pain it can negatively impact each other. The opposite is also true, when one area of life is rising it can also have a positive ripple effect on everything else. Making time to reflect, increase one’s awareness and being present can increase one’s capacity to be more productive and have more energy. It can seem like a decluttering of the mind, isn't that worth prioritizing yourself for?
To get started, contact me to book a discovery call. Once we both determine we are a fit to work together, you will be emailed a Welcome package and client contract.
